What compliance costs now, and what it costs on a plan
A compliant monitored fire alarm and the right certified extinguishers costs most small premises €10,000 or more upfront, then a servicing bill every year after that. Here is the same compliance, priced the other way.
- An annual servicing bill on top, every year
- Parts and call outs charged as they happen
- A second full bill when the system reaches end of life
- The compliance paperwork stays your job
- Quarterly inspections and all certification included
- Every part, every call out and every battery covered
- At end of life we replace the system and the plan carries on
- We hold the compliance paperwork, not you
"Could I not just buy the system and be done with it?"
You could, and some owners should. If you have the capital sitting there and you are happy to carry the servicing, the parts, the call outs and the replacement bill in ten years, buying outright is a perfectly reasonable decision and ADS Group will quote you for it.
What the plan buys you is different. You never pay for the replacement system. You never get a bill for a part or a call out. The compliance admin stops being your problem. And it is an operating cost rather than capital, so it does not compete with the chair, the van or the fit out you actually wanted to spend that money on.
Six things, one daily figure, nothing extra to buy
Monitored wireless fire alarm
A full SmartCell wireless detection system, specified for your premises and certified to IS 3218:2024.
Certified extinguishers
The right extinguisher types for your risk, correctly sited and signed, serviced to IS 291 every year.
24/7 monitoring
The system is watched around the clock. If it goes into alarm out of hours, it is not sitting there ringing at nobody.
Quarterly inspections
An engineer on site four times a year, testing, logging and keeping the system in the condition your certificate says it is in.
All certification
Your compliance certificate is issued on the day of install, and reissued after every inspection. Ready for your insurer or an inspector.
Every part and call out
Batteries, detectors, sounders, panels, labour. If it fails, we fix it. You do not get an invoice for it, ever.
Commercial grade kit, and you never own it
The system stays the property of ADS Group for the life of the plan. That is exactly why the replacement is included: when it reaches end of life, replacing it is our cost, not yours.
It is wireless, so it goes in inside a day. No channelling walls, no cable trays, no closing for two days while someone rewires your premises. We fitted a full dental practice recently and they did not lose an hour of trading.

Small commercial premises
If the public comes through your door, or staff work in the building, you carry a fire safety duty. These are the premises FirePulse is specified and priced for.
Three steps, and one of them is a phone call
You tell us about the premises
The form above takes about a minute. Somebody in our Dublin office rings you back, usually inside the hour, and asks the handful of questions that decide the specification.
An engineer surveys and prices it
A real survey, on site, with no obligation. There is a nominal survey charge, credited in full against your subscription if you go ahead, and if you do not, the written report is yours to keep. You get the exact daily figure for your premises in writing, along with what is being installed and where.
We install it in one day
Wireless, so no closing and no lost trading. Your compliance certificate is issued the same day. The plan and the quarterly inspections start from there.
FirePulse is built and run by ADS Group
Not a reseller and not a broker. The engineers who survey your premises, install the system and answer the call at two in the morning are ADS Group engineers on ADS Group payroll.
What happens if you want out
Most complaints in this industry are not about the service. They are about what happens at cancellation: a fee nobody mentioned, a price rise nobody agreed to, a contract nobody can get out of.
So here are our exit terms, on the page, before you give us your phone number.
- On cancellation we either collect the equipment or switch the monitoring off. Your choice.
- There is no exit fee and no removal charge either way.
- The price is fixed for the term. We do not raise it partway through and tell you afterwards.
- You will never receive an invoice for a part, a battery or a call out. That is the whole point.
The things owners actually ask
What is the actual monthly cost?
From less than €10 a day works out at roughly €300 a month excluding VAT, which as a commercial premises you reclaim. That is the figure for a standard premises. A smaller salon comes in under it and a large multi room practice comes in above it, which is why the survey exists. You get your exact figure in writing before you commit to anything.
What do I pay to get it installed?
Nothing. There is no deposit, no installation charge and no equipment cost. The daily fee starts once the system is in and certified.
Do I have to close while it is being fitted?
No. The system is wireless, so there is no channelling of walls and no rewiring. It goes in inside one day. Most of our customers keep trading right through the install.
Why is there a credit check?
Because we are installing several thousand euro of equipment at our own cost and recovering it over the term. A standard business credit check is part of the application, the same as any commercial lease or finance agreement. It has no effect on your personal credit rating.
If the check does not pass, we will still quote you to buy the system outright. You are not turned away.
What happens when the system gets old?
We replace it and the plan carries on. You never receive a bill for a replacement system. This is the part that people miss when they compare the plan to buying outright: the owner who buys pays again in roughly ten years, and the plan customer does not.
Does this actually make me compliant?
Yes, and it is in writing. Your compliance certificate is issued on the day of install against IS 3218:2024 for the alarm and IS 291 for the extinguishers, and reissued after each quarterly inspection. If anything is outstanding on the day, we keep working at no charge until it is cleared.
My alarm went in years ago and it still works. Do I need to do anything?
Possibly not, and we are not going to tell you otherwise to sell you something. What has changed is the standard. IS 3218:2024 raised the bar, and a lot of systems over ten years old will not meet it now. That is a reason to have it checked, not a reason to panic. The survey will tell you either way. There is a nominal survey charge, credited in full against your subscription if you go ahead, and the written report is yours to keep whatever you decide.
What areas do you cover?
