Fire Alarm Servicing for Businesses
Fire alarm servicing is the routine attendance, testing and record keeping that keeps a fire alarm system in known working order. On FirePulse, servicing is included in the monthly contract rather than booked and invoiced job by job.
Who this is for
- Owners who are not certain when the alarm was last serviced
- Premises where servicing is remembered only when a certificate is requested
- Businesses that would rather have servicing on a contract than on a to do list
Servicing that nobody is quite tracking
Fire alarm servicing rarely stops deliberately. It slips. The engineer who used to call stops calling, the paperwork goes into a drawer, and a year later nobody can say what state the system is in.
The moment that becomes a problem is usually the moment somebody asks for records, which is the worst time to start looking for them.
How servicing works on FirePulse
Servicing is part of the monthly contract. ADS Group engineers attend the premises, test and check the system and log what was done, and the servicing certification is handled as part of the same agreement.
Because it sits on the contract rather than on your diary, you are not arranging it each time.
What is included
- Ongoing servicing of the FirePulse system under the contract
- Records of the servicing carried out
- The relevant FirePulse servicing certification
- One supplier for servicing, monitoring and certification
What we do not claim
- We do not state a servicing frequency on this page. The frequency for your premises is confirmed by ADS Group as part of the contract.
- Servicing keeps the alarm system in known working order. It is not a statement that every fire safety duty for the premises is met.

Common questions
Is fire alarm servicing included in FirePulse?
Yes. Servicing is part of the monthly FirePulse contract rather than a separate arrangement.
Do I get a service certificate?
The relevant FirePulse servicing certification is handled as part of the contract. Ask us what is issued for your premises and we will confirm it before you sign anything.
What if my alarm was installed by somebody else?
Tell us what is installed. Whether it can be serviced under FirePulse depends on the system and what the survey finds.
What paperwork should I keep?
Keep the records of servicing and the certification you are issued, together and easy to find. Our guide on fire alarm records goes through this in plain terms.
What happens if something is found during servicing?
The engineer records it and we tell you what it means for the system. We continue until it is delivered.
